  • Dr Jonathan Wilson

    DR JONATHAN WILSON BSc MB ChB MPhil MRCPsych Dip CAT

    CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

    Jon is a consultant psychiatrist in adult psychiatry with special expertise in psychotherapy. He graduated from St Andrews and Manchester Universities before training in psychiatry in New Zealand, Edinburgh and Cambridge. Working in close collaboration with the rest of the multidisciplinary team, he guides the treatment of the patients assigned to his care and chairs their treatment planning and review meetings.

  • Dr Sarah Maxwell

    DR SARAH MAXWELL BA (Hons) MB BS MRCPsych

    CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

    Sarah is a consultant psychiatrist in child and adolescent psychiatry. She works with young people and their families with a wide range of difficulties as well as treating people with eating disorders across the age range. She trained in Oxford and London and worked in London until moving to Norfolk in 2000. She directs the treatment of the patients under her care at Newmarket House, coordinating closely with the other members of the team and patients’ community providers.

  • Charlie Baily

    DR CHARLES BAILY MA (Hons) PhD

    CLINICAL DIRECTOR

    Charlie completed his clinical psychology PhD at Columbia University in the United States and has worked with adults and children with eating disorders and other mental health difficulties in a variety of hospital and community settings. He has a particular interest in the design and delivery of recovery-orientated care. He oversees the clinical programme at Newmarket House, works with patients individually and leads therapeutic groups.

  • Andrea Ramsden

    ANDREA RAMSDEN BA (Hons)

    OPERATIONS DIRECTOR / REGISTERED MANAGER

    Andrea holds a degree in business management and prior to joining our team held senior administrative posts in a number of areas including education. At Newmarket House she directs the provision of treatment, maintaining the quality of care and good governance. She also manages Newmarket House’s finances, staffing and other employment matters and our relationships with NHS commissioners, insurance companies and other healthcare organisations.

  • Dr Juliette Puig

    DR JULIETTE PUIG BSc (Hons) DPsych

    COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGIST

    Juliette completed her doctorate in counselling psychology at City University, London. She has extensive experience working with people with eating disorders in both inpatient and community settings. She has a specialist interest in autism evaluation and eating disorder treatment for neurodivergent patients. She runs the neurodiversity pathway at Newmarket House and provides individual therapy and groups. Juliette is also responsible for our doctoral and undergraduate psychology student placement programmes.

    CLARE WALL BSc (Hons)

    SERVICE MANAGER

    Clare trained as an occupational therapist and has extensive experience across a variety of settings including mental health, physical health and learning disabilities. She has worked in both inpatient and community eating disorder settings, to include serving as the Newmarket House OT. She has been in post as Service Manager since 2023 and is in charge of the daily running of the service. Clare has a particular interest in the co-occurrence of eating disorders and neurodivergence and works closely with the rest of the team to ensure that Newmarket House is as accessible and inclusive as possible.

    SARAH HAMILTON RGN

    SENIOR NURSE

    Sarah has over twenty years' experience treating patients with eating disorders at Newmarket House. She leads the nursing staff and is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective delivery of treatment. She also continues to work directly with patients, providing expert, compassionate care to support their progress through the treatment programme.

    JULIE REEVE BSc (Hons)

    PSYCHOLOGICAL PRACTITIONER/CARER AND FAMILY LEAD

    Julie has extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders working within both inpatient and community settings. Her role as Carer and Family Lead includes offering one-to-one support to families and other caregivers and facilitating support groups, skills workshops and focused family therapeutic interventions. She also works with patients, providing individual therapy and groups.

    POPPY GRIFFIN BSc (Hons)

    OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

    Poppy has a wide variety of occupational therapy experience in inpatient, community and creative healthcare settings. Her role includes working with patients individually and facilitating group sessions with a focus on using creative occupations as a therapeutic tool. She has particular clinical interests in sensory processing and regulation and the treatment of eating disorders in autistic people. Poppy provides autism assessments and co-leads Newmarket House’s neurodiversity pathway.

  • Sejal Jacob

    SEJAL JACOB MSc BSc

    DIETITIAN

    Sejal is a registered dietitian with extensive knowledge and experience drawn from her MSc in Dietetics and BSc in Food and Nutrition and from many years working with adults and children in the NHS and as a freelance dietitian. She combines a holistic, pragmatic approach to nutrition with in-depth clinical expertise. Her role includes designing patients’ meal plans, offering one-to-one support and providing group nutrition education sessions.

  • Penelope Baily

    PENELOPE BAILY

    FOUNDER DIRECTOR

    Penelope founded Newmarket House in 1996 to provide a service dedicated solely to the treatment of eating disorders. She devised the philosophy of care that remains central to its treatment approach and is actively involved in Newmarket House's continuing development.
