CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST
DR JONATHAN WILSON BSc.MB ChB.MPhil MRCPsych Dip CAT
Jonathan is a consultant psychiatrist in adult psychiatry with special expertise in psychotherapy. He graduated from St Andrews and Manchester Universities before training in psychiatry in New Zealand, Edinburgh, and Cambridge.
COORDINATOR OF THE CLINICAL PROGRAMME
DR LOUISE BRABBINS MB ChB
Louise has specialised in the treatment of eating disorders since 1994. Prior to joining Newmarket House Clinic in 2000 she had clinical responsibility for an eating disorders service in Cheshire.

CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST
DR SARAH MAXWELL BA (Hons) MB BS MRCPsych
Sarah is a consultant psychiatrist in child and adolescent psychiatry working with young people and their families with a wide range of difficulties including eating disorders.  She trained in Oxford and London and worked in London until moving to Norfolk in 2000.

 

GENERAL MANAGER
ANDREA RAMSDEN BA (Hons)
Andrea worked as a business manager in the education sector prior to joining the Clinic and holds a first class honours degree in Business Management.  She has held administrative posts in a number of areas including education.  Andrea manages the provision of treatment at the clinic maintaining the quality of care and ensuring its efficacy.

 
NURSE MANAGER
LISA TAYLOR-ROBERTS RGN
Lisa joined Newmarket House in 2006 and was appointed Nurse Manager in 2011.  Over the years she has gained a great deal of experience in the treatment of eating disorders.  Her role is to uphold the highest professional standards wilst maintaining the caring and supportive environment that reflects the ethos of the Clinic.
  

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
ALISON WALL BSc
Alison qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1994.   Before joining Newmarket House she spent seven years working within residential eating disorders services in Cambridge and in London.   At the Clinic she is responsible for implementing the group programme and she also provides individual occupational therapy interventions.   

 
THERAPIST
URSULA HARBEN UKCP reg
Ursula has been a systemic therapist in family health therapy at The Bethel Child and Family Therapy Centre in Norwich since 1993. She is particularly interested in family dynamics in relation to eating disorders. At Newmarket House she meets with families of our patients on a regular basis, as considered appropriate.
THERAPIST
FRAN POSTON BA. M.Phil. UKCP (PPS) reg.
Fran is a psychodynamic psychotherapist who works with adults. Apart from her work at Newmarket House, she is involved in the training of counsellors and has her own private practice. Prior to working in East Anglia, she practised within an NHS psychotherapy department in Northampton.

THERAPIST
JULIE HAMBURGERMAIAPUKCP reg

Julie trained at The Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education, Islington, London.  It was through her early work with clients that she developed a particular interest in PTSD and Eating Disorders.  Over the years she has worked in different clinical settings within the private and public sectors with young people and adults.

 

THERAPIST
ALISON COAD BSc, Grad Dip (CBT), Grad Cert (Systemic Practice) BABCP
Alison is a qualified occupational therapist and cognitive behavioural therapist. She has worked for Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Care since 2001 and has a wide range of experience in working with children, young people and families. She offers individual therapy sessions to patients to support the recovery process. Alison is interested in variations on traditional models of cognitive behavioural therapy, particularly compassion-focused work and mindfulness techniques.

 
DIETITIAN
LUCY CHILD BSc Hons (Nutrition)
Lucy qualified in 1980 with a degree in nutrition and state registration in dietetics. She has developed her particular expertise in the treatment of eating disorders over the past ten years. She is a dietitian for the Norfolk Mental health Care Trust and is also a trustee of the Eating Disorders Association’s Norfolk Branch.
FOUNDER DIRECTOR
PENELOPE BAILY
Penelope and her husband, Mark, founded Newmarket House Clinic in 1996 to provide a service dedicated solely to the treatment of eating disorders. She devised the philosophy of care that is central to this foundation and is actively involved in the continuing development of the Clinic.
