CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST
DR JONATHAN WILSON BSc.MB ChB.MPhil MRC Psych
Jonathan is a consultant psychiatrist in adult psychiatry with special expertise in psychotherapy. He graduated from St Andrews and Manchester Universities before training in psychiatry in New Zealand, Edinburgh, and Cambridge. He shares medical responsibility with Louise Brabbins.
COORDINATOR OF THE CLINICAL PROGRAMME
DR LOUISE BRABBINS MB ChB
Louise has specialised in the treatment of eating disorders since 1994. Prior to joining Newmarket House Clinic in 2000 she had clinical responsibility for an eating disorders service in Cheshire. At the Clinic she is responsible for the development of the service as a centre of excellence while actively maintaining the Clinic’s adherence to its original philosophy. She liaises with clinicians, co-ordinating the skills and talents of the members of the team. She shares medical responsibility with Jonathan Wilson.

CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST
DR SARAH MAXWELL BA (Hons) MB BS MRCPsych
Sarah is a consultant psychiatrist in child and adolescent psychiatry working with young people and their families with a wide range of difficulties including eating disorders.  She trained in Oxford and London and worked in London until moving to Norfolk in 2000.

 

GENERAL MANAGER
ANDREA RAMSDEN BA (Hons)
For the last 5 years Andrea has worked as a business manager in the education sector and holds a first class honours degree in Business Management.  Prior to joining the clinic she held administrative posts in a number of areas including education.  Andrea manages the provision of treatment at the clinic maintaining the quality of care and ensuring its efficacy.

 
THERAPIST
URSULA HARBEN UKCP reg
Ursula has been a systemic therapist in family health therapy at The Bethel Child and Family Therapy Centre in Norwich since 1993. She is particularly interested in family dynamics in relation to eating disorders. At Newmarket House she meets with families of our patients on a regular basis, as considered appropriate.

JOANNA SEYMOUR BA, DipST, UKCP reg
Joanna worked for The Eating Disorders Association as a youth counsellor for 4 years until 2000. Having trained in London, she has worked as a systemic therapist in a residential psychiatric setting and in child and family NHS centres in Norfolk.
THERAPIST
FRAN POSTON BA. M.Phil. UKCP (PPS) reg.
Fran is a psychodynamic psychotherapist who works with adults. Apart from her work at Newmarket House, she is involved in the training of counsellors and has her own private practice. Prior to working in East Anglia, she practised within an NHS psychotherapy department in Northampton.
DIETITIAN
LUCY CHILD BSc Hons (Nutrition)
Lucy qualified in 1980 with a degree in nutrition and state registration in dietetics. She has developed her particular expertise in the treatment of eating disorders over the past ten years. She is a dietitian for the Norfolk Mental health Care Trust and is also a trustee of the Eating Disorders Association’s Norfolk Branch.
ADMINISTRATOR
GAY ROBB
Gay will probably be your first contact with Newmarket House. She provides the link between clinicians, Primary Care Trusts, staff and patients, in fact all who come into contact with Newmarket House. Before joining the Clinic she worked within the Health Service and carried out youth training, helping young people obtain employment.
FOUNDER DIRECTOR
PENELOPE BAILY
Penelope and her husband, Mark, founded Newmarket House Clinic in 1996 to provide a service dedicated solely to the treatment of eating disorders. She devised the philosophy of care that is central to this foundation and is actively involved in the continuing development of the Clinic.
